Meet the Toddlers

Yesterday marked one year since our expected due date (if the trio had been full term). I thought it would be appropriate to mark this anniversary with a brief overview of each child at this point in their lives.

K is the oldest and the biggest. She is currently about 21 lbs. The two words that sum her up are SWEET and BUSY. K is a very happy little girl whose smile can absolutely melt your heart. She is our Chunky Monkey with soft rolls of baby fat. Her favorite activities are 1- Climbing on anything and everything & 2- Anything animal related. Our current predicted vocation for K is veterinarian. She LOVES our lab, Haley. Her first word was HAY-YEE. She also says dog, dada, ball, bye bye and her current favorite Uh-Oh. She loves to dance, sing, laugh & squeal.

R is the oldest boy (and the second largest at about 19.5 lbs). He has gotten a lot of press lately for his firsts...but he is clearly our most verbal child. He says: dada, ball, apple, bye bye, chicken, cracker & dog.

He is sensitive and very engaging. He loves to hold hands. R is also quick to let you know when he is unhappy. We have dubbed him the Screaming Monkey.

R has eyelashes for miles and precious deep dimples.

P is the youngest (and currently the smallest at about 18 lbs). We call P the Spider Monkey. If you have ever held him you know why--he wraps himself around you!

What P lacks in size he compensates for in charisma and feisty-ness. He is a very determined, energetic little man. We have nicknamed him "P-doodle-doo" because he has never, ever slept past 6am.

P also has sweet dimples & a left eyebrow so expressive, I think it has a personality of its own! He says Dada & out.

I would love to know how their personalities TODAY match up with their personalities way back THEN. Are they much the same?! Ours sure are! William was the most vocal and articulate - still is. Elizabeth was the most wriggly and active - still is. Carolyn was the most cautious and insightful - still is. Although in your case, I think R has most definitely taken the lead on size! Such beautiful kiddos, it's amazing (and wonderful)(and bittersweet) to see how quickly they grow. Keep up the awesome job, you're truly an inspiration. xoxo
