Little R did not enjoy the baked spaghetti I cooked for dinner tonight, but he handled it as politely as you might expect from a 7 1/2 year old boy.
"Mommy, I love you more than I love your food."
Then he added, "and I love your food more than hmmm...(pause)...the DEVIL!"

Just this afternoon, my husband and I were trying to remember how we taught our children diplomacy and discretion.
You are definitely on the right track with your little ones.
Well, obviously he knows better than to say something along the lines of "Ew! This is disgusting!" That puts him miles ahead of many 7-year-old boys. :-) Well-done, R.
