Spring Break 2010

Home again, home again, jiggety jig! It was a LONG 9 hour drive back today, but thanks to movies, Leapsters and potty-stops-a-plenty, we are safely back in our home.

I confess I did not take many pictures. My father-in-law always has much better photos than I capture and he was with us, so I am sure there will be more to post soon.

As I scrolled through the ones I did capture, I noticed a recurring theme:
Grown-ups having just as much fun as the children!Don't you love a Grandmother and Granddaddy who aren't afraid to join in the fun?It was pretty chilly the first couple of days, but we did eventually make it out to the beachand spent the last two days exploring and enjoying the outdoors.
As for my grown-up fun, I just had one thing in mind. It was pretty dead this week, so I got myself psyched up about trying the trampoline without an audience.
I really wanted to see if I could still pull off a flip. Generally the places that have these are too populated for me to embarrass myself. This was my moment. I am always game for a little joyful humiliation in front of my own family.

My enthusiasm came to a screeching halt when I read the rules posted by the entrance...Maybe I need to track down those girls from the ice cream parlor and warn them--apparently 20 is ancient now too! :-)

Now I am off to take on the unpacking...

What a fun trip! No way that 20 is too old to do flips - I think my rebellious spirit would have taken over and I would have just "shown them" what this 30 year old could do!!!!! (Then I probably would have been in bed for 2 days) Actually we have "playdates" in the U of A gymnastics gym from time to time and I have done a few flips on the in-ground trampoline there, so I think I would survive!!!! Go for it next time- ha ha!!!!

That is just wrong! If you have the nerve, you should have the chance to jump. :)

Looks like my favorite place on Earth. Hey, I would love to know where you all stay when your there. Now that my father's house is for sale down there we will be looking for a place to rent. We still would like to go there on vacations. BTW, if you are looking for a vacation home or investment property, let me know b/c his house is on short-sale for CHEAP. BTW, this is not by any means a plug..b/c I could care less. Just thought I would mention it. E

I have to say, you have THE cutest little kiddos. I have always thought of how much fun it would be to have a brother/twin my age.

Glad y'all had a great trip!

Adults 20 years or older??? Seriously?? I would wholeheartedly cheer on the 86 year old willing to give it a go.
