Lost and Found

There is a group of nicely dressed, well-groomed, middle aged men who have taken to the street corners of our small town in the name of the Lord. They are not carrying crosses, holding signs, passing out tracks or shouting through bullhorns. Instead, they simply stand silently at the four corners of major intersections during afternoon rush hour holding their arms out and over their heads while clutching their Bibles.

As we drove by them late this afternoon R (my little man with an answer for everything), said, "Look! Those nice men found someone's Bibles."

My husband and I laughed, but in many ways I think my boy is right. Those men found something that they know also belongs to other people, if only they step up to claim it: peace, hope, joy and unconditional love.

I love looking at the world afresh through the eyes of my children!
