One of the reasons my children were so excited on Friday was because we had a HUGE weekend planned. Friday night was the Daddy/Daughter Dinner & Dance. K got her very first manicure in dual honor of the celebration and the fact that she stopped biting her nails.
Saturday we had two birthday parties. I think the adults had more fun at the skating party than the 5 year olds. It was so much fun to try out our old moves and see if we still had 'it.' (I don't, by the way.) It seemed like such a great idea to teach the children to skate by holding on to my back pockets. Unfortunately when K lost control (only seconds after this picture) her spill became my spill. It was a very graceful moment caught on video--complete with my yelping as I stumbled and wiped out.
Saturday afternoon we traveled to Atlanta to visit with Grandmother and Granddaddy. They kindly watched our children while we went out for a lovely anniversary dinner. Sunday we attended Buckhead Church, had a delicious brunch at Brio and visited with Nana.
I adore that at 91 1/2 Nana looks this fabulous...even in a gown! Rides in her wheelchair were a highlight for the boys.
Sunday night we had dinner with Storey, our beloved former babysitter, who is departing next week for a three year assignment with Young Life in Germany.
It was an wonderful weekend full of family and friends--a reminder of how very, very blessed we are by the relationships in our lives. I love that our children are already surrounded by such strong ties to others. What a blessing!

I LOVE K's dress!!! She looks beautiful. Where did you get that? I've never seen one like that in MT...I might have to go shopping in the South. :)
Can't believe how straight K's hair looks! I guess the longer it gets, it pulls the girl out. Love her dress too! She looks like a princess!
I too love the strong ties to family and close friends. Your children are blessed.
Pretty sure your kids were in my daughter's Waumba class on Sun. My daughter said..."there were two boys and a girl and they are called triplets!" Love it! Sorry I didn't get to see you myself and introduce myself as a lurker!
We were in 119 at Waumba!! So sorry we didn't meet. How fun would that have been. :-)
