I am going to attempt to write a cohesive post while watching my Alma mater fight for the national championship. Please forgive any misspellings, careless grammar or misplaced ROLL TIDEs.
My children finally got their snow day! It didn't start until late so we are hoping there is still plenty to play with tomorrow.
I know for many who read this snow is old news...but this is the first time our children have ever seen it stick.
So,we tasted it (and later made snow cream!)
We examined it.
P skated and "DJ danced"on it. (I love that kid!)
We managed to scrape up enough for a small snowman.
And to thank Emmy for coming over to take our photo, we snuck next door after dinner and showered her family with a few backdoor snowballs.
Thank you, God, for sending us a dose of the real stuff. We have enjoyed it--and will enjoy a day off of school tomorrow too!

I am one of the readers for whom snow is old news; however, I still am amazed by the blanket of beauty it leaves on our world.
And we just hosted a house full of sophomore girls who came over to play in the snow then stayed for supper.
I love that the magic of a snow day hasn't left our home - and we get another one tomorrow.
Congratulations! We're under a winter storm warning and are expecting probably about 12" of snow by the time it is done. We'll probably be snowshoeing down the street!
My girls are hoping for snow tonight, though I'm afraid we won't see any. Our neighbor did blow in some snow this week that they got to play in.
Oh, and Roll Tide all the way!
How fun! We had our snow last month. It is such a rarity here in Houston. Right now it is 28 degrees here and continuing to drop, but there is no forecast for snow.
My husband has been pulling for your team. He bleeds maroon for A&M, so he would like nothing better than to see UT lose. Looks like that will be the case.
A perfect day...snow and Bama wins National Championship!!!
Roll Tide!!!
Amen, Ms. K! Now I am exhausted and off to bed!!
I am excited about your snow!
(Being from Austin, Texas: not so excited about that other news...)
We got snow, too!!! Roll Tide, Roll!!!!!
We did not get any snow here in Texas but congratulations to your team!!!! We are Aggies so I agree...Roll Tide, Roll!!!!!!!

I loved your post! You are so fun! What a memory...Your Tide Rolled...with a Texas quarterback from Dallas...we tried to come back, but gotta love Colt McCoy~hope you have had time to utube his I AM SECOND video. It is amazing. He is an awesome Christian. And a great role model to children. Enjoy your snow, win, and sweet triplets. You will have a busy day tomorrow!
So glad you got to have snow cream-yum!! :)
Glad that you got to make snow cream - I never have the ing. to make that!
Here in the NC mountains - we got about 1 inch (I think).....but we've not ventured out.....if we do it'll be for only about 5 minutes since the the wind chill is 0 ....
Have a great day!

What a blessing when you rarely see it. We were expecting it through the night, but woke up to a 2hour delay and no snow :(
