Breathe

I just read a post today and felt compelled to share it. I have never met the author, Amy Beth, but she comments on this blog from time to time and when I checked out her blog a while back I was BLOWN AWAY by the maturity and incredible love of this 24 year old, single woman. She started a ministry for girls when she was 18 and has devoted herself to it as she completed high school and then attended and graduated from college. Most recently she has taken on the AMAZING ministry of inviting an unwed pregnant friend to move in with her and help her raise the baby (who is expected within 4 weeks).

Her story is inspirational, but this post in particular really moved me. Amy Beth understands loving well. She is living a life that involves constantly looking for opportunities to be the hands and feet of our Lord to the people she encounters.

As one whose heart has been this broken before, I could feel that twinge in my heart as she described her current state. Yet, I was most moved by the power of her willingness to simply be real and vulnerable with a cashier and the indelible mark it must have made on that woman's heart to have had this encounter with Amy Beth.

I LOVE how God uses real people to love on others when they need it most. May we always be looking for those the Lord has put in our path, simply so we can love on them a little in His Name.

J,
AB shared her story at our PJ party, oh well, I see Emmy posted that already, AMAZING God story. she would be an awesome person to come speak to your girls sometime. That's what she does and her story is a lot like many of theirs. I have even thought of getting her to head down here just to come speak to mine. Check into her ministry, she is very close to us!
