Kite Day

This morning we ventured out to a local college to enjoy Kite Day. We watched several of my friends (who are in far better shape, and possess much greater discipline than me) finish a half-marathon. I am so proud of those girls. They have been training so hard. It was great fun watching their children and husbands cheer them on from the sidelines.Even the Chick-Fil-A cow ran a mile. Since no one was chasing me, I did not.

My husband is a very, very patient man. This is evidenced by the fact that he tried to teach three impatient three year olds how to fly kites for the first time on a day that was not very windy.

We also tried porta-potties for the first time...but I chose not to photograph that experience.

The children had a blast. We all benefitted from the sunshine and now everyone is napping with sweet dreams of flourescent kites dancing in their heads.

Do you love that K has her kitty cat and its kennel covered up ?
