One of the new favorite games around here is "huntin' for da bay-er." Tonight, R & K had been excused from the dinner table and were playing in the great room. I was sitting at the table waiting for P to finish up when suddenly R & K came barrelling in screaming, "AAAHHH. It's a BAY-YER!" (Remember, we are Southern. BEAR has at least 2 syllables here.)
"Come wiff us, Mom-ee!" I played along and ran screaming into the adjoining room with them to hide in the dark. K suggested we tiptoe back in. As we quietly entered the kitchen, I announced, "It's not a bear. It's just P!"
I excused P and cleaned him up while the other two kept shouting, "Run! He's a bay-yer." I giggled to myself as P ran into the next room, grabbed a shiny silver toy toaster with slices of bread in it and ran after them squealing and yelling, "Hey! I a nice bay-er. I make san-wiches for ev-we-one!"
They then all plopped down in the hallway to play picnic.

That's cute. I love watching our 4 boys using their imaginations running around the house. They all participate somehow. And your 3 sound similar to mine. Mention food and you've got them!
I admire your committment to blogging the little things. I mean really, how many of those times would just be forgotten otherwise or only come back at odd times? Great story.
Kim is so right. One of my favorite gifts ever was a book of things Andi and Zac had said when they were little. My mom had taken the time to write them all down. Not only did I love it, but they loved to read about how funny they were.
That is precious. I would say you and your husband have and will have a lot of laughs to come. Your guys sound very entertaining.
He's a smart bay-er--lure them in with food, and then eat them :)
Your trio are beyond adorable!!
Around here bay-yer is sometimes burr. That's when you know they are from the boon docks.
I aldo love that you blog little things, and Jacob, my husband, (who LOVES reading your blog and adores your kids) said the other day how he likes how you type out thier "dialect" so that we all can "hear" them too.
