Savoring Normalcy

Daddy took Friday off and we have had a wonderful couple of days as a "normal" two parent family. The children still have pesky colds, but we have otherwise had a wonderful weekend. It makes such a difference to just have another grown up around to back me up.

Tomorrow we have a BIG day. Our family will be lighting the Advent candle at our church's 11am service. As the day has come closer, I have become convinced we were asked to do this for the entertainment of the congregation. Seriously, 3 lit candles, matches, 3 toddlers, a microphone, a 3 minute script and an audience of hundreds of people....

I'll let you know how it goes.

I can completely relate to the wonderfulness:) of having Daddy around. My husband is a Full time Bible college student and almost full time sales rep. So I am alone most of the time, but over his Christmas break our family feels so normal, like it's meant to be:) Hope you enjoy your weekend together! I can't wait to hear bout the advent lighting. What ever happens your kids will make it adorable.

If a microphone is involved I am sure Parker will break out in song.Probably Frosty the Snowman. Ryland will hide his face and Kate will put on her sweet smile.
