The first time I read it, I prayed it for my daughter. The second time I prayed it for myself. I have read it at least 5 additional times since then.
The entire entry is beautiful, but this is my favorite excerpt:
Asking the Lord to keep the eyes of my heart open to the extraordinary lessons of every day life.
Thank you so much for your comment! I appreciate and read every one. One of my favorite parts of blogging is learning from other people's life experience.

I am weak in the knees from this prayer. What beautiful words.
ReplyDeleteAll of them.
"May she be dead to all ladders and never go higher, only lower, to the lonely, the least and the longing." This thought is so breathtaking in a world that tells us to push our girls to the front of the line, the top of the roster...to always have the spotlight on them. Yes, they must work to their potential and use the gifts God has given them; but teaching them to LOWER themselves -to become LOWLY...I love it.
