P & Me

Over snack today P and I found ourselves alone in the kitchen. Frankly, he's been going through a rough patch and I have come down on him a lot lately. As a result, I have been trying to find quiet moments to intentionally shower extra love on him and remind him how very much I am for him.

As we sat on our side-by-side stools chatting, he leaned in and looked me squarely in the eyes. He pointed to the space between my eyebrows, right over the bridge of my nose.

P: "Mom, sometimes you get a heart on your face right there made out of those lines and wrinkles. Is that because you love me?"

M: "Yes, baby, it is."
