Family Bike Ride

This afternoon we attempted a first...a family bike ride down the street. The children followed directions, stuck together and felt very accomplished. We only went two doors down, but Rome wasn't built in a day...I was just talking with my neighbor about these 'little milestones' that you cross almost without recognizing them...things that a few months ago I could not have dreamed we would be doing. Life moves forward. Days and weeks turn into months and years. Babies become toddlers, then 'real' kids. These kids will one day be teens, then adults, then spouses and parents...

I am trying to pay close attention. I don't want to dwell in the past, or be wishing or worrying for the future. I want to be fully in this day.
