Tonight P and I had a quiet moment together on the way to the potty. It was just kind of a normal life moment. Nothing special. Then out of nowhere he said, "You are a good Mommy."
I was shocked. "Wow, P. Thanks. Why do you think that?'
"You just are. You are the kind I like."
I was struck by how words can have such a powerful effect on the heart. (positively and negatively) Oh, may I remember and apply that in my daily life!
Awww...what sweet words for a mommy's heart! Your children are getting so big!!! Love to visit here!
ReplyDeleteSo precious! I love it when God prompts our children's hearts to give us some encouragement. I recently got a note from my 6 year old and that says, "Mom, you make my day good". I think I'll leave it on the fridge for a LONG time.
