I had my first (and PLEASE, GOD, only!) experience with "Poop Painting" today. I intervened shortly after the artistic expression began, so it was not as bad as it could of been...but, really, just disgusting!
They were so quiet, watching a favorite video...when am I going to learn that leaving the room is a bad idea?
AAAAAHHHHH!!! so i hope you didn't have to clean that by yourself! that definitely called for team effort - hope ryland was around to help. ick ick ick. and no photos for us? come on, jen! :)
ReplyDeleteOf course, it happened on a call weekend when Ryland is in the OR dealing with strangers' bowels...
ReplyDeleteNo help cleaning, unless you count the crowd of little people staring with big eyes and saying, "Yucky. Poop."
It actually was a window that was painted, so I was able to clean and sterilize much easier than if it had been on say a chair or a rug or something. Thank heavens for small favors, huh?
And as for pictures, no need for those...I don't think I'll be able to forget this for a while!
Oh, I don't know if I could stomach that one. Glad it was rather easy to clean. Thankfully we have not encountered that one, but we're not done with diapers yet either. Better not get my hopes up yet.
ReplyDeleteEgads ... I fear that something just like this lies in wait for me. Especially since our kids have figured out how to undress themselves recently.
ReplyDeleteYou know - your trio had so much fun fingerpainting the other day, I think they just wanted to experience with a new medium.
Ha Ha ... glad it's not me. Yet...!!!!
I worked with three's way back when in Mothers day out. We had this child that snuck and did that ALL the time. I told him if he never did that again we would pudding paint on a plate. You was there hands really good then you put pudding on paper plates and let them paint with pudding.
ReplyDeleteJen this child smeared it all over his face and everywhere. I am so glad you did not have that.
Hey Jen! I'm just getting caught up on all your last several posts; I've been swamped in "real" life here lately:) Your three are so stinking adorable I could forgive them for anything--even poo painting!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad my gang are past the age wherethat is even a remote possibility!!!
ReplyDeleteYuck! That brings back memories for me. No fun! Good thing God made them so cute, huh.
ReplyDeleteI had one do that! UGH! She even ate a bit of it TOO! YUCK!
ReplyDeleteEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWW is right, I had the same experience only with twins in July...what a mess to clean up! And AMEN I hope your only!

p.s. I took a fly fishing class at a Free Bass Pro Shop clinic. (of course pre-kids :-) )
ReplyDeleteBlessings...
Thanks for coming to visit
I'm guessing you won't be leaving them alone in a room anytime soon - say in the next 18 years or so.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely GROSS! Mine are so "monkey see, monkey do" if one did it, the other would be SURE to join in on the fun!
ReplyDeleteI really hope I don't have to experience this....but you know I've just totally jinxed myself!
Hey Jen - I was just checking out Sarah's comment to you and I had to chuckle. Do you think she intended the pun "they are so stinking cute"? :)
ReplyDeleteFollowing nap time today, one of our kids was completely undressed in their crib. Thankfully, the dirty diaper was thrown on the floor and not used as war paint.
I just KNOW this is going to happen soon for me, though. I can sense it...
Jen, so glad you keep making updates. I really miss hearing the 'triple' tales in the OR.
ReplyDeleteYuckie-poo! I didn't have to deal with that, luckily. But I do remember when my second was a newborn...I was changing her in the middle of the night and a fountain of poop sprayed up! And on me!
ReplyDeleteI like to check in your blog now and then...it's so fun to see what's happening with those cutie-pies. Even if it's poop painting! ;)
